Key Responsibilities
Designs, develops, and implements testing strategy, methods, and tools to ensure product performance to specifications across the software development lifecycle
Plans and arranges labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating the product
Designs test cases for test plans and creates test scenarios in which tests are carried out
Compiles data, defines required changes, and reports defects and problems that occurred during the test process
Implements and participates in the walkthrough of the product
Consults with development and/or requirements team to coordinate and execute testing activities
Performs analysis, diagnostics and preliminary evaluations of products
Develops test plans, scripts, scenarios, functional tests, regression tests, and user acceptance testing efforts
Designs test automation strategy, including selection and implementation of appropriate tools and frameworks
Implements testing processes and ensures all test activities follow those processes
Produces reports on each test activity and tracks test metrics
Reviews source code in GitHub repositories to understand functionality, validate logic, and support development of effective test coverage
Monitors for continual test process improvement through failure analysis, throughput analysis, yield analysis, and reports to management periodically
Manages the defect lifecycle process, including tracking, prioritization, root cause analysis, and resolution validation
Designs and implements automated testing solutions using modern browser automation and emulation tools
Leverages Selenium for browser-based automation
Utilizes headless browser technologies for automated UI and integration testing
Develops and maintains automated test suites using JavaScript/Node.js-based testing frameworks
Collaborates closely with developers to ensure testability within CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps environments
