We are seeking talented and motivated C Developer Interns to join our CloudLinux team. As an intern at CloudLinux, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in C development and contribute to the development of our innovative projects.
CloudLinux is a leading provider of Linux-based operating systems and security solutions for web hosting providers. Our products, including CloudLinux OS, KernelCare, and Imunify360, are used by thousands of companies worldwide.
We are currently looking for a C Developer Intern for one of our core teams:
- Endless Lifecycle Support (ELS) - extending the life of Linux distributions beyond their official end-of-life by providing critical security patches and updates. Interns in this team focus on backporting, patching, and ensuring long-term stability across different environments
- Work on real-world projects and contribute to the development of our products
- Collaborate with our experienced development team and learn from industry professionals
- Gain experience in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices
- Learn how to write effective unit tests and ensure quality in software development
- Get exposure to different areas of C development, including backend development and system programming

Requirements
What we're looking for:
- Some C programming and debugging skills
- Experience using Git for development and patch/branch management
- Experience with GNU/Linux operating system (CLI) and shell scripting
- Basic experience with building the Linux kernel and troubleshooting related issues
- English proficiency at B1 level or above (you'll be communicating a lot in English, especially in writing);
- Self-starter who's hungry to learn;
- Final-year student or entry-level engineer with strong basics;
- Able to read and reason about C / systems code, reviewing and validating patches is central;
- Solid fundamentals in algorithms and data structures;
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants day-to-day; basic prompting and able to spot when the output is wrong;
- Broad awareness of the current AI-assisted development landscape - different models for different tasks, common tooling (nice-to-have)
