What’s involved:

•Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Java/J2EE applications

• Build and support REST APIs and microservices-based applications

• Develop scalable solutions using Java frameworks including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring AOP, and Hibernate

• Work across the full software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, and deployment

• Implement secure coding practices and support authentication/authorisation mechanisms (OAuth, JWT)

• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests using frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito

• Support CI/CD processes using tools such as Git, Jenkins, and GitLab CI

• Work with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP environments

• Support containerised applications using Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes/OpenShift

• Monitor and troubleshoot applications using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Log4j, and SLF4J

• Provide basic administration support for middleware components including MQs and API Gateways

• Support application deployments and service management within Unix/Linux environments

What you need:

• 12+ years’ experience designing and developing Java/J2EE applications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java SE and Java EE

• Extensive experience with Spring ecosystem including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate

• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures

• Experience with secure coding practices and authentication technologies such as OAuth and JWT

• Strong knowledge of testing frameworks including JUnit and Mockito

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and automation tools

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes/OpenShift

• Knowledge of application monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools

• Experience working with middleware technologies such as MQs and API Gateways

• Good understanding of Unix/Linux commands and service management
