I’m working with a robotics startup in Palo Alto, building the “PC of robotics” — an intuitive, open, and affordable general-purpose robot designed to make robotics accessible to everyone. They are a small, hands-on team solving challenging problems that have real impact, and they are looking for a Robotics ML Engineer who combines strong machine learning skills with solid engineering.

What You’ll Work On

• Train and deploy machine learning models that run on physical robots

• Design and build the infrastructure to support scalable ML on multi-GPU systems

• Optimize distributed training, inference, and network communication for real-time robotics

• Develop production data pipelines for robotics workloads

• Work across robotics software systems, including ROS, firmware, embedded code, and the full software stack

• Collaborate closely with the team on product design and stay connected to customer needs

Core Skills & Technologies

• ML research and large model training

• Multi-GPU optimization and distributed training

• Network engineering and high-throughput data transmission

• Data pipelines and production deployment

• Robotics hardware experience and software systems

Preferred Experience

• Production deployment ownership and responsibility for reliability

• Building projects outside your main stack (mobile apps, websites, side projects)

• CI/CD, cloud deployment, and software update systems
