Systems Engineer
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 3+ Month Contract (Potential Extension)
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a healthcare organization's infrastructure team through several critical initiatives, including infrastructure modernization projects, application-related upgrades, and ongoing operational support. This role will work across a complex enterprise environment supporting VMware, Citrix, Active Directory, Windows Server, and related infrastructure technologies.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support enterprise Windows Server environments.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Support VMware infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual server environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot Citrix environments, including virtual desktops and application delivery.
- Support infrastructure initiatives related to application deployments, upgrades, and organizational projects.
- Assist with server provisioning, configuration, performance tuning, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Support storage, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and remediate issues.
- Collaborate with application, networking, security, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system diagrams.
- Participate in troubleshooting complex infrastructure incidents and root-cause analysis.

Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of Systems Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering experience.
- Strong experience with:
- Windows Server
- Active Directory
- DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- VMware vSphere/vCenter
- Citrix administration and support
- Experience supporting enterprise production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working on infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
