About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Developer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing robust, scalable, and secure web applications that can handle high-profile sites and intense traffic loads. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to architect and implement solutions that meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level proficiency in PHP, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML, with extensive WordPress experience. Your responsibilities will include maintaining existing applications, developing new features, and ensuring the overall quality and performance of our software products. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while requiring availability during US-based hours, making it suitable for candidates located anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working within the WordPress ecosystem, demonstrating a deep understanding of its architecture and best practices. Additionally, you should have at least 2 years of experience leading technical teams, mentoring junior developers, and setting strategic direction for projects. Proficiency in React.js is essential, with at least 2 years of focused development experience. A strong grasp of the entire product development lifecycle, from conception to deployment, is required. Candidates must possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams. Technical expertise should include modern PHP development, including autoloading, dependency management, dependency injection, templating libraries, automated testing, object-oriented programming, and experience with frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel. You should also have mid to advanced JavaScript skills, including experience with webpack, Babel, and ES2015+ syntax, along with exceptional HTML and CSS skills, including familiarity with PostCSS, Sass, and BEM methodology. Experience working with design systems and automated testing frameworks is preferred. Comfort working in a Linux environment and a passion for improving software systems are essential. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include developing new software solutions and maintaining existing applications to ensure stability, security, and performance. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and create comprehensive documentation. Staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices is vital to continuously improve our development processes. Writing and executing automated tests to validate code functionality, performing bug fixes, and measuring the effectiveness of implemented solutions will be integral parts of your role. You will participate in troubleshooting and triaging issues, documenting problems, and providing timely resolutions. Additionally, you will contribute to code reviews, support deployment pipelines, and assist in optimizing application performance. Your work will help ensure that our platforms remain reliable, scalable, and secure, providing an excellent experience for our users and clients.
