1. About Our Client:

The organization operates within the homeland security sector, addressing critical data integration and analysis challenges to support government security operations. It provides data-driven insights by combining operational and financial information to enhance decision-making for stakeholders. The team works on complex data projects that require secure and accurate information handling, contributing to national security efforts.


2. About the Opportunity:

The Power BI Developer role is focused on designing, building, and maintaining advanced Power BI dashboards that synthesize data from multiple sources to deliver actionable business insights. The developer will play a key role in transforming raw data into clear, accessible visualizations that support data-driven decisions and improve operational understanding. This client-facing position is essential for translating technical data into business value and requires strong communication skills.


3. Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models
  • Design and maintain ETL pipelines using data from SQL databases, SharePoint, and Excel
  • Collaborate with users and technical teams to integrate data effectively into visualizations
  • Translate complex data into clear insights for stakeholders
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports and dashboards


4. Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience with large datasets using Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
  • Advanced SQL skills including query optimization, CTEs, and complex joins
  • Proficiency in Excel for data analysis tasks such as pivot tables and complex formulas
  • Strong communication skills to gather requirements and present data insights
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Data Science, Computer Science, or Statistics
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a background investigation; DHS clearance with CBP or ICE preferred
  • Preferred experience with Python (Pandas) for data analysis
  • Preferred experience with PowerApps and Power Automate


5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

  • Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
