This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a critical SIEM platform while contributing to strategic initiatives across cloud security, data protection, and incident response. You will work in a highly collaborative environment alongside security, infrastructure, and application teams to build scalable security solutions that protect business operations and sensitive information. Ideal for a hands-on security professional, this position combines technical depth with strategic impact, allowing you to shape detection capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and drive continuous enhancements across the organization's security landscape.

Accountabilities

  • Own, administer, and continuously optimize the SIEM platform, including the development of detection rules, dashboards, alerts, and advanced queries to improve visibility and reduce false positives.
  • Partner closely with incident response and SOC teams by supporting investigations, providing log analysis, and delivering actionable technical insights during security events.
  • Identify weaknesses in current monitoring capabilities and implement improvements to strengthen threat detection and response processes.
  • Contribute to enterprise security initiatives related to cloud security, data loss prevention, sensitive data classification, and information protection programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the organization's overall security posture and support the integration of security best practices across systems and applications.
  • Stay informed on emerging cyber threats, technologies, and industry standards to continuously improve security controls and engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or IT security roles.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with SIEM technologies such as Sumo Logic, Splunk, QRadar, or similar platforms, including building detection content and dashboards.
  • Experience supporting incident response activities and collaborating with SOC teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly AWS and/or Azure.
  • Understanding of endpoint security technologies and modern threat detection methodologies.
  • Experience with data protection and DLP tools, particularly Microsoft Purview, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies is considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO standards.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, GIAC, CISSP, or equivalent are advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Benefits

  • Competitive annual base salary ranging from $120,000 to $135,000, plus monthly bonus potential.
  • Fully remote work environment with flexibility and strong work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage beginning shortly after hire.
  • Pet insurance, wellness programs, and employee support initiatives.
  • Generous paid time off and 8 paid company holidays annually.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan and additional financial benefits.
  • Parental leave programs and opportunities for career growth and internal advancement.
  • Collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.
