Job Description

Secfi is building the private wealth stack for employees and executives with equity.

The Problem We're Solving

Private markets are where most wealth is created today, and they're notoriously hard for individuals to navigate. The best financial advice has always been a luxury, reserved for the ultra-wealthy, delivered by private bankers.

Even those who can afford an advisor often find that most have a blind spot when it comes to pre-IPO company equity & stock options. It's a black box for most in the industry.

Meanwhile, startup employees give years of their lives. Intense work, real sacrifice. Then the company finally has its exit, and they get burned. They pay more tax than they need to. They don’t have access to private bank liquidity solutions. They mishandle their shares. They can leave millions on the table, on the single biggest financial decision of their life.

We're changing that.

Secfi is putting sophisticated equity strategy in the hands of the people building the world's most innovative companies.

We work with the builders behind the best tech companies on the planet. We're doubling revenue year on year, growing AUM at over 200%, and we're trusted by employees from companies like Canva, Stripe, SpaceX, Databricks and Anthropic.

We're indirectly invested in more than half the IPOs of the biggest tech brands you know, and we help the people who built them with something deeply personal: their finances.

Why Now?

We're at an inflection point. Demand is climbing, and we're expanding fast on all fronts. A great fintech is the right blend of financial products and technology, and we're pushing hard on each.

The financial products. The financing and wealth platforms that already drive our revenue, with a fast-growing user base. Now we're deepening them. Automating what's still manual, shipping the features that turn a strong business into a category leader. It's the highest-leverage work in the company: every improvement compounds straight to the bottom line.

The technology. Maeve is our agentic financial planner, and it's becoming the interface for everything Secfi does. Not a feature bolted onto the side, but the hub: the connective layer between our financing, wealth and planning products, and the way customers interact with all of it. We've merged frontier AI with each person's real financial data and our proprietary calculation engines to bring clarity to the most complex decisions someone will ever face. The more context it holds, the better it gets. The Forecaster predicts the future value of private equity, something only investment banks can do today. We're building it for everyone.

This is a genuinely hard space. Many moving parts, uncertain outcomes, probabilistic by nature, where accuracy and trust are everything. Whatever advice we give has to be right, every time.

It's early enough that the biggest problems are still unsolved. The people who join now are the ones who'll solve them.

About The Role

We're looking for a Senior or Lead Product Manager to own a large, complex scope. Not manage it, own it. Keeping core systems sharp. Shipping incremental improvements. Defining transformational new capabilities. All three matter, and you'll be doing all three.

This isn't a role where you're handed a roadmap. You'll build it, defend it, and lead the team through design and execution to shipping. We want the mini-CEO of your products.

You'll be in our Amsterdam office 3 days a week alongside your product, engineering and design teammates, and you'll work closely with our NYC-based business, advisory and operations teams every week. Cross-timezone collaboration is part of the job.

One thing worth being straight about: if you're looking for big infrastructure or scalability challenges, this isn't it. The complexity here is product and domain. Financial modelling, tax logic, probabilistic forecasting, and decisions that have to be right every time. It's a genuinely hard problem space, and you'll need to want to go deep on it.

What You'll Own

Maeve and our AI products.

Help define where our AI planner goes next - new capabilities, new surfaces, new use cases. Active, evolving territory, and one of our biggest bets. You'll define what gets built, at what depth, and why.

The core product.

Our equity planning tools, onboarding flows and financing experiences are used by thousands of people. Keeping them sharp and continuously improving matters as much as shipping new things.

Discovery and direction.

Run real discovery - customer interviews, competitor research, data analysis. Form your own opinions and bring them. We want someone engaged at the idea stage, not waiting for a brief.

Shipping.

Write clear, well-scoped specs your designer and engineers can actually build from. Partner with them daily through the full cycle. Track performance post-launch and let the data drive what's next.

Pace.

We move fast, but not as fast as we want to. You’re the kind of person that brings pace to the teams you join.

What we build next.

We're building a new category. A lot of the most important work here hasn't been defined yet - that's partly your job. You'll keep the incremental, the operational and the transformational all moving at once.

Experience You Need

  • Senior product experience (6+ years). You've owned real scope and shipped core, customer-facing products people actually use.
  • A track record in unstructured, high-ownership environments. A startup, or a larger company that moves fast internally. Somewhere execution and high standards were everything, and nobody handed you a brief.
  • Analytical strength. You reason from first principles, you're comfortable with genuine complexity, and you can hold a probabilistic, multi-variable problem in your head without flinching.
  • A track record of high performance. Whatever form it takes - the calibre of the companies you've worked at, an advanced degree, something you built, something you led. We're looking for evidence you operate at the top of your field, and that you're deliberate about where you're going next.
  • AI-forward. You already use AI in your own workflow or have built agents yourself. You're genuinely curious about what it can do. And you want to build with it, not just use it.

Bonus Points

  • Founding or founding-team experience. You've built something from nothing before.
  • Early-stage experience. You know what it's like before the process exists.
  • A background in finance, fintech, PE, VC, trading or brokerage, especially if you've worked on portfolio management or financial planning
  • You've built with agents. You've worked on projects putting AI agents into production, not just prototyped with them.
  • Integration-heavy product experience. You've built products that connect to a lot of third-party systems, and you understand what that actually takes.
  • A product marketing instinct. You don't just build a great product, you think about how people find out it exists.
  • Time spent living or working in the US. Our customers and half our business are there, so the context helps

Practicalities

Location - Amsterdam, 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)

Contract - 1 year Dutch contract, Indefinite thereafter.

Eligibility - We sponsor work visas, process 30% ruling & relocate for the right person (relocation credit provided)

Compensation - €110 - €145K (including 8% holiday allowance) + 5% pension contribution + bonus + stock options

What’s In It For You?

You'll build for the people building everything else. Our customers are the founders, executives and early employees behind companies like Canva, Stripe, SpaceX, Databricks and Anthropic - some of the most impactful people in tech. They're demanding, sophisticated, and they'll make you better.

A product that's challenging & complex. Financial modelling, tax logic, probabilistic forecasting, AI planning, all at once, in a domain where the answer has to be right every time. If you want a product challenge that will actually stretch you, this is one of the few places you'll find it.

Real ownership, no layers. You report to the Head of Product & Technology. There's no PM above you, no committee, no roadmap handed down. You'll own your products like a founder would. Build the strategy, defend it, ship it.

Build with AI, properly. Maeve isn't a chatbot bolted onto a website. It's frontier AI wired into real financial data and proprietary calculation engines, doing something nobody has done before. You'll shape where it goes next and ensure it has a life changing impact for those that use it.

A business that's actually working. We're profitable, self-funded, and doubling revenue year on year with 60k+ users. That means you're building from strength, not sprinting ahead of a runway. Ambition here is a choice, not a necessity.

Early enough to matter. We're building a new category and the biggest problems are still unsolved. The people who join now are the ones who'll define what this becomes.

How we work. Amsterdam office 3 days a week with your design and engineering teammates. Up to 4–6 weeks fully remote a year. High trust, high standards. We iterate fast, we're not afraid to kill ideas, and we work hard. But we look after our people; this isn't a place that mistakes long hours for good work and enforces a 996 schedule.

The Hiring Process

Step 1: 30 minute call with our internal Talent Partner

Step 2: 45 minute call with our Head of Product & Technology

Step 3: 30 minute call with our Founder & CEO

Step 4: Panel style meeting with some of our team members

Step 5: Final conversation to ensure all questions are answered & offer!
