Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing current DLP architecture, policy set, incident volumes, and enforcement gaps; producing an Exfiltration Coverage Matrix mapping data types, channels, vectors, and control actions; prioritizing high-risk exfiltration vectors including web uploads/POST, personal email, unsanctioned SaaS/paste sites, removable media, encrypted archives, and bulk extraction patterns.
- Building and deploying DLP policies and rules across agreed channels (endpoint, email, web, SaaS, network) with sensitive data detection, context controls, enforcement actions, and escalation workflows.
- Creating test cases and running controlled pilots; tuning to reduce false positives/negatives; implementing exception governance and policy precedence.
- Integrating DLP telemetry with SOC operations (SIEM/case management), defining a severity model, and delivering triage runbooks and KPI reporting.
- Producing complete technical documentation and delivering admin/SOC training to enable independent operation post-engagement.

Required Experience & Skills
- Proven DLP policy engineering experience across endpoint, email, web, and SaaS channels in hybrid environments.
- Strong knowledge of exfiltration threat vectors, modern bypass patterns, and control placement strategies.
- Demonstrated implementation experience in financial and/or government entities, including evidence-grade logging and structured change control.
