Job Description
Test Engineer (f/m/d)
As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up test stands for high-thrust rocket engines. You will ensure the development and management of test procedures, and you will conduct rigorous testing to validate the engines' performance, reliability, and safety. You will contribute directly to the optimization of propulsion systems.
Tasks & missions
The responsibilities are:
- Depending on the test campaign, may be assigned the role of Test Campaign Manager or serve as a fluid, electrical, or mechanical assistant to the Campaign Manager.
- Ensures the technical and operational management of the assigned test campaign.
- Validates operational risk analyses and implements risk mitigation actions.
- Leads the integration activities of one or more test benches (infrastructure, electrical, mechanical, fluid systems).
- Monitors the schedule and budget of the test campaign.
- Participates in design reviews for one or more test benches.
- Contributes to the definition of test plans and measurement plans for test specimens.
- Writes qualification test plans for one or more test benches.
- Establishes the operations plan for test campaigns.
- Oversees the preparation of test documentation: procedures, SOPs.
- Leads the development of automated procedures.
- Ensures traceability and reporting of anomalies and change requests to the design teams.
- Leads anomaly review boards.
- Leads safety studies related to the execution of test campaigns.
- Contributes to the definition of qualification test plans and combined test campaigns.

Preferred experience & skills
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of operations, test execution, and field activities
- Good understanding of the product development lifecycle
- Basic project management skills: scheduling and budgeting
- Proficiency in technical English
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and rigor
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and sense of responsibility
Education & Experience:
- 10 to 15 years of experience in operations or test execution within the space, aerospace, or defense industry
- Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, or fluid systems
