Front-end Web Development Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Front-end Web Development Supervisor to join our fast-paced Web Development team. Reporting to the Front-end Web Development Team Leader, you will combine hands-on back-end development with team leadership, mentoring developers across all seniority levels while ensuring high technical standards and a collaborative team culture.

Your role at HFM:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize user interfaces across all company websites using React and Next.js.
• Collaborate with Graphic designers to ensure accurate implementation of visual design and functionality.
• Maintain a consistent, branded look and feel across all platforms.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and adherence to modern web standards and accessibility guidelines.
• Stay current with React ecosystem updates, performance optimization techniques, and best practices in modern frontend development.
• Implement server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) features using Next.js for SEO and performance.
• Lead, mentor, and support one sub-team of the Front-end Web Development team through technical guidance, coaching, and performance management.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in development.
• Collaborate with Back-end Developers and stakeholders to deliver reliable web solutions.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and modern workflows that improve code quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in back-end web development, including at least 2 years in a technical supervisory or technical coordinator role.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience mentoring developers across different seniority levels.
• Native or near-native proficiency in English.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), including DOM manipulation and the React lifecycle.
• Solid understanding of Next.js features such as routing, API routes, middleware, and performance optimization.
• Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling methodologies (e.g., CSS Modules, Tailwind, SCSS).
• Familiarity with headless CMS integration and SEO best practices for web apps.
• Basic working knowledge of backend technologies such as PHP or Python.
• Understanding of version control systems (Git) and agile workflows.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced development environment with tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern development workflows is considered an advantage.
