Senior Java Software Engineer - Manufacturing & Engineering

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with US customers; willing to work night shift (if needed).
• Domain: Manufacturing, Engineering.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance Java applications following best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, System Analysts, QA, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Review code, mentor junior developers, and contribute to continuous improvement of the development process.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and ensure seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support sprint planning and estimation.
• Ensure compliance with security, scalability, and maintainability standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with strong focus on Java.
• Solid experience with Java frameworks such as Spring / Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and clean code principles.
• Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent, including query optimization.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (integration-level understanding).
• Experience in API design, integration, and exposure to microservices architecture is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
