Are you an experienced Electrical CAD Designer with expertise in wiring harness design, electrical system layouts, and manufacturing documentation?
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal CAD Designer (Electrical) to join our growing engineering team in Abu Dhabi. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge Aerospace and Defence programs, supporting the design and development of advanced aircraft and unmanned aerial systems (UAS/UAVs).
If you have extensive experience creating electrical installation drawings, wiring harnesses, and production-ready manufacturing documentation using industry-standard CAD tools, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- As a Principal CAD Designer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing electrical system layout drawings for aerospace platforms.
- Creating detailed wiring diagrams and 3D electrical harness designs.
- Preparing complete wiring harness manufacturing data packages, including:

Manufacturing Documentation
- Configuring and maintaining engineering data within PLM/PDM systems.
- Supporting prototype, production, and engineering change activities.
- Working closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Manufacturing, and Production Engineers throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Ensuring all designs comply with aerospace electrical design standards, quality requirements, and engineering best practices.
- Supporting design reviews, drawing releases, and engineering documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Electrical CAD Design.
- Strong experience in Electrical Wiring Harness Design and Electrical Installation Design.
- Aerospace or Defence background.
- Experience preparing manufacturing-ready electrical documentation.
- Excellent understanding of aerospace electrical design practices.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to relocate to Abu Dhabi
