Key Responsibilities
Lead SQL application development and production support for multiple enterprise systems
Design, develop, and optimize scalable Microsoft SQL Server database solutions
Perform advanced SQL performance tuning including query optimization, indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and database optimization
Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement permanent solutions to improve system stability
Monitor and optimize batch processing jobs to improve throughput, reliability, and execution performance
Ensure data integrity, reconciliation, auditability, and quality controls across critical business processes
Produce technical documentation including design documents, estimates, testing artifacts, and operational procedures
Automate monitoring, alerting, deployment, and operational processes to improve reliability
Participate in on-call production support and incident response while meeting established SLA requirements
Support change management, release management, SOX compliance, and audit readiness activities
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, DevOps teams, QA teams, and business stakeholders
Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote SQL development best practices
Support CI/CD pipelines, version control, and enterprise deployment processes

Job Description

Compensation & Location

Location: Torrance, CA

Pay Range: $63.00 – $70.00 per hour (based on experience and internal equity)

Schedule: Full-time, contract; long-term opportunity

Work Type: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
