Senior Data Analyst - Power BI & SQL Focus

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

We're looking for a Data Analyst to join our team and help drive data-informed decision-making across the business.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
• Design, develop, and maintain impactful dashboards and reports using Power BI.

• Build and optimise SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
• Work with Google BigQuery as our primary enterprise data warehouse.
• Apply dimensional modelling and star schema principles to support scalable analytics solutions.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to develop curated datasets using dbt and modern data architecture practices, including Medallion Architecture.
• Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, issue investigation, and root cause analysis.
• Document datasets, business logic, and reporting processes using Confluence.
• Work within Agile teams using Jira, GitHub, and GitHub Flow best practices.
• Engage with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective reporting solutions.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with Power BI dashboard development
• Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses
• Understanding of dimensional modelling, star schemas, and modern data platforms
• Working knowledge of dbt and data transformation practices
• Experience with GitHub, code reviews, and Agile delivery environments
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
