Role Description This is a full-time, fully remote role for a QA Automation Engineer supporting a global enterprise product company based in the U.S. The QA Automation Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for web and/or API-based applications, ensuring high reliability and scalability. Responsibilities include creating and executing test cases, performing regression and smoke testing, and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects. The role involves analyzing requirements and user stories, defining test strategies, maintaining test data and environments, and contributing to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. The engineer will also monitor test results, report quality metrics, and suggest improvements to testing processes and overall product quality.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Software Testing, including understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
- Experience designing, documenting, and executing detailed Test Cases for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Hands-on Manual Testing skills for exploratory, usability, and edge-case validation when automation is not feasible.
- Proficiency in QA Automation, including building and maintaining automated test suites (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST API test tools) and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into robust test scenarios and automation strategies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability and performance.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in distributed, remote teams across time zones.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
