Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an AFSIM Developer to support advanced modeling and simulation efforts for U.S. Navy programs in Crane, IN. This role focuses on software development, model engineering, and simulation framework integration—supporting multi‑domain operations rather than operational analysis. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with AFSIM or similar tools and a strong background in software development and systems modeling.
Work Environment:
Full‑time, on‑site role in Crane, IN supporting advanced Navy modeling and simulation initiatives, working alongside engineering and research teams developing next‑generation capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and integrate models within the AFSIM framework.
- Design and implement simulation capabilities using Python, C/C++, and MATLAB.
- Build and maintain threat models, flight path models, and Electronic Warfare (EW) effects.
- Support Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) and strategic deterrence modeling efforts.
- Perform model integration, testing, validation, and verification (VV&T) activities.
- Collaborate with Navy warfare centers, national laboratories, and industry partners.
- Contribute to rapid prototyping and development of next‑generation simulation capabilities.
- Support integration of simulation tools within larger system architectures.

- Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain and maintain higher‑level access.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- Hands‑on experience with AFSIM
- Programming experience in Python, C/C++, and/or MATLAB.
- Experience with software development, systems engineering, and model integration.
- Experience building mission scenarios
- Security+ CE or equivalent certification required.

- Pay range: $140,000 - $180,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
