We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer / IT Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Python development, FastAPI, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and Unity Catalog. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle, from solution design and development to testing, deployment, and operational support.
Roles & Responsibilities
Application Development & Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and platform services using Python and FastAPI.
- Participate in solution architecture, technical design, and implementation activities.
- Develop high-quality, maintainable, and reusable code following engineering best practices.
- Ensure application reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
- Contribute to application modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Platform Engineering & Cloud Integration
- Build and maintain cloud-native applications and services within Microsoft Azure environments.
- Support application infrastructure design and implementation.
- Ensure applications meet high availability, resilience, and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to optimize application deployment and operations.
Data Platform Integration

- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Share technical knowledge and contribute to team growth and engineering excellence.
- Support cross-functional teams in delivering business-critical solutions.

Qualification & Experience
- A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
Core Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Python application development.
- Proven experience developing APIs and microservices using FastAPI.

- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and application architecture.
- Experience working with highly available and business-critical applications.

DevOps & CI/CD
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and software delivery practices.
- Hands-on experience setting up, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
