Job Description

About The Role

At ARX Robotics, you will help bring autonomous robotic systems from development into real-world operation. As a Senior Deployment Engineer (DevOps), you will design and scale the infrastructure, automation pipelines, and operational tooling that power mission-ready robotic platforms in demanding field environments.

This role sits at the intersection of robotics, infrastructure, and software engineering. You will work closely with autonomous systems, enabling teams to build, test, release, and operate robotic software reliably and at scale. From CI/CD pipelines and ROS-based systems to cloud and edge infrastructure, containers, and observability, your work will have a direct impact on how robotic fleets are developed, deployed, monitored, and maintained.

What You’ll Build

  • Design and operate end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for ROS2-based platforms, covering build, test, packaging, release, and deployment workflows
  • Build and maintain scalable infrastructure for robotic fleet deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure reproducible, auditable, and version-controlled environments
  • Collaborate closely with software, testing, and hardware teams to ensure systems are continuously deliverable, testable, and production-ready
  • Automate operational workflows using Python, Bash, and modern DevOps tooling
  • Build and manage containerized environments and orchestration systems for robotic software stacks
  • Establish observability practices including logging, metrics, alerting, and tracing across robotic platforms
  • Improve release reliability, rollback capabilities, and operational scalability across development and field environments
  • Troubleshoot and optimize robotic system infrastructure across CAN, Ethernet, and wireless communication networks
  • Support rapid prototyping and MVP releases to validate new robotic capabilities in the field
  • Document DevOps architectures, runbooks, and best practices to support knowledge sharing across teams

What You Bring

  • Strong experience working with ROS2 and robotics software systems in real-world environments
  • Solid software engineering skills in Python and/or C++ combined with strong Linux fundamentals
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and containerized systems, ideally with GitLab-based workflows
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, or similar)
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and Bash
  • Good understanding of networking and communication protocols including CAN, Ethernet, and wireless systems
  • Experience with observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar)
  • Experience troubleshooting complex interactions between software, hardware, and robotic infrastructure
  • Confidence working in fast-paced engineering environments with rapidly evolving systems
  • A proactive and structured approach to solving operational and reliability challenges
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across software, hardware, and testing teams
  • Professional proficiency in English

Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.
