Job Description
We're looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to help deliver a high-quality experience for a large-scale consumer mobile application in the gaming and entertainment space. This role is heavily focused on mobile end-to-end test automation for a React Native application running across iOS and Android devices. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks, validating complex user journeys, and ensuring product quality across a diverse device ecosystem. Experience testing real-time applications, embedded web experiences, and mobile commerce features is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated end-to-end test suites for mobile applications.
- Create and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, integration, and release testing.
- Validate application behavior across a wide range of devices, operating systems, and screen sizes.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to identify quality risks and improve test coverage.
- Investigate, reproduce, document, and track software defects through resolution.
- Perform exploratory and manual testing when appropriate to supplement automation efforts.
- Support and improve testing processes within CI/CD pipelines.
- Validate complex user experiences, including real-time interactions, embedded web content, and in-app commerce workflows.
- Contribute to overall quality strategy and advocate for testing best practices across the engineering organization.
Core Requirements
- 5+ years of QA Engineering experience with a strong focus on automation.
- Proven experience building and maintaining mobile end-to-end automation frameworks for production applications.
- Strong experience testing React Native applications.
- Hands-on experience with mobile automation tools such as Detox, Maestro, Appium, or similar frameworks.
- Experience testing across physical devices and cloud device platforms such as BrowserStack, AWS Device Farm, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, and quality assurance best practices.
- Experience testing consumer-facing mobile applications at scale.
- Ability to analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and identify root causes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
