Network Specialist in NETHERLANDS

Contract Period: 6 months (subject to extension)

Location: Groningen

We are hiring for Network Specialist for one of our prestigous clients for Groningen location.

Your profile and DNA:

In a normal day you are busy solving complex puzzles every day, whether it is for the management of current customers who want a new functionality and need help with it, or for customer migrations or troubleshooting sessions. In addition, there are a number of large complex projects where we need initiative and a solution-oriented approach. Being able to draw helps (Visio etc.), being able to script also helps (including PowerShell).

We share all knowledge within the team, so knowledge transfer is important, changes often happen with the 4-eye principle and learning from your mistakes is in your basic skills. You are analytically strong and can defend your case in a group.

We work with Fortinet firewalls, HP switches and Citrix Netscalers

You can work anywhere, home, office and datacenters, but we meet on Wednesday and Thursday at the office. Being able to work on Friday is a requirement. 

Furthermore, you are a:

• persevering, because you know better than anyone how complicated it can sometimes be to get all the puzzle pieces in the right place;
• Senior - You inform colleagues about developments;
• can participate in SCRUM processes
• You write, think and breathe on-prem infrastructure, LAN and WAN and get a lot of energy from that.
• An MBO/HBO degree and thinking level
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of layers 1 to 7 of the OSI model
• Experience with HP and network equipment
• Knowledge of Netscalers, IPAM and Firewalls
• You have experience with automation, preferably via scripting with Powershell
• You have a strong technical insight
• You communicate in Dutch (both written and spoken)
• You are well informed about developments in the field of ICT security
• An eye for detail and a view of the bigger picture
• Participate in the on-call duties and operational tasks
