Job Description

  • In-person: Beverly Hills, CA; La Jolla (San Diego), CA; Piedmont, CA; South Bay (LA), CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Bethesda, MD; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation support provided)
  • $200,000/year, paid weekly | Day-one health, dental, and vision

The most meaningful support you can offer a student who achieves 99% is to withhold calling it 100%. Not out of indifference — but because you're confident they can reach it, and accepting less is the true disservice. If this reasoning resonates, continue reading. If it feels too rigid, this position will not align with you.

Students at Alpha don't passively absorb lectures. They advance through adaptive applications at double the speed of conventional classrooms while simultaneously developing practical life competencies. Your role ensures three commitments are fulfilled for every child in your group: they develop a genuine love for school, they accelerate their learning by 2x, and they acquire capabilities beyond what traditional textbooks provide. You simultaneously coach the Guides who uphold these same commitments throughout your campus.

All decisions are grounded in data, and all interactions are conducted in person. Your time divides between your own student group and the Guides under your leadership — and the expectation remains consistent for both: documented improvement, without compromise. When a Guide's session underperforms, you don't draft documentation; you observe, discuss, and resolve it before the day ends.

You'll witness reserved students presenting with poise to adult audiences. You'll observe a child who previously "despised school" requesting extra time. And you'll recognize that the standard you maintained is precisely what enabled their growth, because maintaining high expectations demonstrates your belief in their potential.

You may be establishing a new campus from the ground up and setting the foundational culture that will characterize the school. As the campus develops, your emphasis transitions from operational startup mode to coaching leadership, cultivating the team that expands Alpha's approach across your territory.

If this opportunity appeals to you, submit your application now.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitating one-hour live workshops focused on life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) for K-8 students, covering subjects such as public speaking and concentration, adhering to Alpha's structured methodology
  • Conducting daily motivational sessions designed to propel 100% of students toward their weekly application goals through age-appropriate incentive systems including school currency and leaderboards
  • Developing Guides via observation, specific feedback, and direct coaching so they execute workshops with identical energy and accuracy as you demonstrate
  • Analyzing Coachbot data and student records to pinpoint individuals requiring intervention, then providing that intervention directly
  • Personally mentoring your assigned student cohort, exemplifying the coaching and motivational techniques you require from all Guides

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Creating lesson plans or building curriculum. Students engage with adaptive applications; your responsibility is elevating the people supporting them.
  • Delivering traditional lectures. You function as 80% facilitator, 20% content expert; if you prefer standing at a whiteboard, this role isn't suitable.
  • Lowering standards when pressured by parents or school leadership. If a student reaches 99%, the response remains "not yet" — and you'll receive institutional support to maintain that standard.
  • Spending your day in an office handling administrative tasks. The majority of your time involves direct interaction with students and Guides.
  • Delaying performance feedback for extended periods. Outcomes are visible in real-time through Coachbot and adjustments occur immediately.
