Principal Digital Signal Processing Engineer
Must be able to relocate to Abu Dhabi
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Relocation Required) – amazing relocation (flights, education, healthcare + 1 months extra salary Salary: Permanent role Tax Free – equivalent to €120,000 to €135,000 Euros’ per annum (depending on experience) + benefits

Role Overview: As a Principal DSP, you will be required to work as part of the Electronics, Acoustics and Signals team and design, develop, integrate, and test complex signal processing systems to be used in scientific experimental setups or prototypes. This role involves occasional short-term overseas travel for conferences, supplier or partner visits, training, and other professional engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
•Solving real-world problems by designing and leading the implementation of digital signal processing pipelines
•Establishing and monitoring quality and performance metrics
•Developing and deploying methods to ensure the systems meet quality and performance standards
•Designing and prototyping DSP systems
•Creating and conducting tests to ensure system functionality and writing comprehensive reports and documentation
•Staying updated with the latest advancements in digital signal processing and exploring new techniques to improve systems
•Performing risk assessments and leading project requirement definition, planning, and budgeting
•Presenting designs to managers and end-users and providing technical advice
Key Skills
•Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field
•Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in either industry or academia
•In-depth knowledge of fundamental DSP principles, including filtering, noise and statistical analysis, convolution, correlation, complex numbers, and key practical considerations such as numerical stability, real-time processing, and throughput
•Proven ability to engineer and develop high-efficiency DSP pipelines
•Experience with implementing DSP solutions on micro controllers, FPGAs, customASICs, or GPUs
•Expertise in assessing and selecting the most suitable platform for DSP pipeline deployment
•Proficiency in Fourier, Hilbert, and wavelet-based signal analysis techniques
•Skilled in programming languages such as Python (with NumPy), MATLAB, or similar C-like languages
•Capable of teaching DSP principles and effectively conveying technical information
•Strong creativity and analytical thinking abilities
•Excellent technical writing skills
•Competent in leading project definition and planning, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technological solutions
•Proven ability to execute program plans within a multidisciplinary, collaborative team setting
•Demonstrated success in achieving results according to set milestones and deliverables
•Methodical in problem-solving and conducting root cause analysis
•Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
