This role is with one of Dex's trusted partner companies. We work closely with their teams to truly understand their culture, goals, and what they're looking for, so we can match you with the right opportunity and give you context about the role before you commit to a process.

The role

Most health-tech startups are still chasing their first pilot. This company is cash-flow positive, growing fast, and already deployed across a significant share of the UK's primary care system — millions of patient cases resolved through the platform in the last year alone, in clinics where the cost of bad software is measured in patient outcomes. The engineering team is deliberately small and flat — founders and leads all ship — and they're scaling it carefully rather than fast, hiring a handful of exceptional builders.

You'd join as a Product Engineer owning products end to end: conception, build, ship, then iterate with the clinicians actually using your work. They hire at all levels — recent grads through engineers with twenty years of shipping — and the bar is the same at every one: you take an ambiguous problem to production and answer for whether it made clinical work better. This is full-stack product engineering with real stakes. Not a feature factory. Not ML-pipeline work dressed up as product. Not a place where "ownership" means a ticket queue with your name on it.

The work

  • Own products from first idea through to production, shipping in days and weeks rather than quarters, then iterate with the clinicians using them under real time pressure.
  • Build across two production web apps — one for clinical users, one for patients — on a fully serverless TypeScript stack (React/Angular frontends, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB) with near-zero ops.
  • Work agent-native: agent-friendly codebases, custom linters, AI tooling treated as a first-class part of how the team ships rather than a bolt-on.
  • Design relentlessly for UX over arbitrary technical goals — fewer clicks for people whose working day is already over capacity.
  • Ship on a small, flat, self-directing team where your work is visible and the downstream effect is patient outcomes.

What you bring

  • A track record of relentless shipping — you've taken ambiguous problems from conception to production, repeatedly.
  • Expert-level TypeScript and full-stack depth in the JS/Node.js ecosystem; comfortable moving between frontend and backend, with AWS serverless experience or a genuine hunger to learn it.
  • Strong CS fundamentals and obsessive product taste — you optimise for the user's experience over technically interesting detours.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship available) and comfortable with regular days in a London office.

Why apply through Dex

Full-stack product roles are everywhere; ones at a profitable company with national-scale deployment and a genuinely flat team are rare, and hard to tell apart from the pilot-stage hopefuls from the outside. Sign up to Dex once and we'll match you against this role and others like it, so you skip cold-applying to careers pages. And before you commit to a process, we'll brief you properly on the team, the product, and how they interview.
