The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Backend AI Engineer to help build the core systems powering advanced AI applications in production. This is an opportunity to join at an early stage and have a direct impact on the architecture, scalability, and reliability of products that sit at the intersection of AI and infrastructure.
You will work across backend services, data systems, and cloud infrastructure, enabling autonomous AI agents to process and reason over complex multimodal data at scale. From day one, you'll have significant ownership and the ability to influence technical direction while shipping production-ready systems.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and scale backend systems supporting AI-powered products
- Develop and maintain APIs and services handling high-throughput production workloads
- Build and optimize infrastructure, databases, and distributed systems
- Collaborate closely with engineers across machine learning, data, and product teams
- Own features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation through deployment and monitoring
- Contribute to technical strategy, system design, and engineering best practices
- Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across critical platform components

What You'll Bring
- Backend engineering experience in production environments
