Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Python Developer to work on a contract basis. This role involves developing, testing, and maintaining robust backend applications that directly influence the training and performance of next-generation AI systems. By leveraging domain expertise in software development, you will contribute to high-quality, real-world inputs that shape how AI models learn, reason, and perform across diverse domains. The work is remote, allowing you to collaborate with a global network of experts in AI and software development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Python and Django frameworks to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas and write efficient queries to support high-performance data operations and transactions.

• Utilize AWS services for deployment, scalability, and monitoring of applications, ensuring seamless integration and uptime.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver solutions that align with business and technical objectives.

• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following industry best practices and coding standards.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues across the full software stack.

• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers to uphold code quality and team knowledge.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in backend development using frameworks such as Django.

• Experience designing and optimizing PostgreSQL database schemas and writing complex SQL queries for performance and reliability.

• Knowledge of AWS services including EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, and CloudWatch for application deployment and monitoring.

• Strong understanding of software development best practices including version control (e.g., Git), testing, debugging, and documentation.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and contribute to architectural discussions.

• Prior experience in troubleshooting production issues and resolving system-level bugs under tight deadlines.
