About The Role
The Zivid Motion product (zivid.com/zivid-motion) is a novel global motion planning solution relying heavily on GPU acceleration and algorithm optimization for performance. The motion planner combines a 3D model of the robot cell, point clouds from our cameras and the robot kinematics and geometry, to create safe and efficient collision-free paths. As a Software Engineer, you will work hands-on with industrial robotics automation, SW architecture, performance optimization, and user-experience challenges, in a team of 5-10 engineers, responsible for Zivid Motion. You will be delivering new features, supporting customer integration, testing new solutions, and shipping our technology to customers and industries all over the world.
Key Responsibilities
This position offers varied and challenging tasks across software, simulation, user experience, and deployment. Your tasks will include:
- Design and improve our C++ code architecture.
- Enhance product user experience.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast, reliable builds, automated testing, and smooth deployment workflows.
- Collaborate across disciplines to make the best combined robotics solution for the industry.
- Profile and optimize our core algorithms and performance.
- Write and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, and system-level) to ensure software correctness and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to raising overall code quality and engineering standards in the team.
- Design and maintain our APIs.

Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who fits our team’s passion for problem solving and new technology, using their analytical skills with a solution-oriented attitude to deliver as a team.
You should have experience developing robust, high-quality C++ solutions in a professional setting and M. Sc. or B. Sc. in Computer Science, or similar competence, to be considered.
Experience with one or more of the following is highly valued
- UX/UI development.
- Build pipelines, Docker, GitHub Actions/Jenkins/GitLab CI, and modern DevOps tooling.
- ML/AI algorithm development and training.
- Writing system- and unit tests.
- GPGPU (SYCL) programming.
- Python programming.
