The Opportunity
- Are you a data-driven storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced enterprise environment? We are partnering with a major client to find a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to support a high-impact enterprise performance visibility program.
- In this role, you will be the driving force behind translating complex utility and enterprise data into trusted, decision-ready views for executive leadership. Partnering closely with Data Engineering, you will build and maintain Power BI semantic models, author complex DAX measures, and design executive-grade dashboards within Microsoft Fabric.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Architect & Build: Design and maintain Power BI semantic models and certified datasets.
- Advanced DAX: Author and optimize DAX measures for a comprehensive KPI catalog, ensuring strict alignment with business logic.
- Data Transformation: Develop Power Query (M) transformations and dataflows to shape data into report-ready structures.
- Executive Dashboards: Build, format, and maintain high-visibility dashboards tailored for executive and operational leadership.
- Security Implementation: Apply row-level security (RLS) across a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction environment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Data Engineering to consume Bronze/Silver data models, surface upstream data gaps, and translate joint requirements into performant visualizations.
- Testing & Delivery: Participate in Agile, sprint-based delivery, handling UAT, defect resolution, and clear technical documentation for all assets.

What We’re Looking For
The Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of hands-on BI development experience with full-stack delivery in Microsoft Power BI (semantic modeling, dataset design, complex DAX authoring).
- 3+ years of experience building enterprise-grade dashboards specifically for executive/operational audiences.
- Expert-level proficiency in DAX (filter context, time intelligence, performance-conscious design) and Power Query (M).
- Strong command of dimensional modeling principles (star schema, slowly changing dimensions).
- Solid SQL proficiency for data exploration and source-system reconciliation.
- Experience in a sprint-based, Agile delivery environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
