Key Responsibilities
Architect & Build: Design and maintain Power BI semantic models and certified datasets.
Advanced DAX: Author and optimize DAX measures for a comprehensive KPI catalog.
Data Transformation: Develop Power Query (M) transformations and dataflows to shape data into report-ready structures.
Executive Dashboards: Build, format, and maintain high-visibility dashboards tailored for executive and operational leadership.
Security Implementation: Apply row-level security (RLS) across a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Data Engineering to consume Bronze/Silver data models, surface upstream data gaps, and translate joint requirements into performant visualizations.
Testing & Delivery: Participate in Agile, sprint-based delivery, handling UAT, defect resolution, and clear technical documentation for all assets.

Business Intelligence Developer (Power BI & Fabric)

Location: 100% Remote (Must work CST hours)

Job Type: 4–6 Month Contract

The Opportunity

  • Are you a data-driven storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced enterprise environment? We are partnering with a major client to find a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to support a high-impact enterprise performance visibility program.
  • In this role, you will be the driving force behind translating complex utility and enterprise data into trusted, decision-ready views for executive leadership. Partnering closely with Data Engineering, you will build and maintain Power BI semantic models, author complex DAX measures, and design executive-grade dashboards within Microsoft Fabric.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Security Implementation: Apply row-level security (RLS) across a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction environment.

What We’re Looking For


The Must-Haves:

  • 5+ years of hands-on BI development experience with full-stack delivery in Microsoft Power BI (semantic modeling, dataset design, complex DAX authoring).
  • 3+ years of experience building enterprise-grade dashboards specifically for executive/operational audiences.
  • Expert-level proficiency in DAX (filter context, time intelligence, performance-conscious design) and Power Query (M).
  • Strong command of dimensional modeling principles (star schema, slowly changing dimensions).
  • Solid SQL proficiency for data exploration and source-system reconciliation.
  • Experience in a sprint-based, Agile delivery environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent professional experience).


The Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, or similar cloud analytics platforms.
  • Background in a regulated industry (utility, energy, financial services, healthcare).
  • Experience migrating from or working within SAP / SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  • Familiarity with dbt, YAML-defined data models, or similar analytics engineering frameworks.
  • Microsoft Certifications (PL-300, DP-600, or DP-500).


Contract Logistics

  • Duration: 4 to 6 months
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, aligned to Central Standard Time (CST)
  • Location: 100% Remote
