Senior Full Stack Engineer - Telecom Infrastructure Startup (Node.js/TypeScript)

Founding Engineer (NodeJS/Typescript) | 90-150k | Telecom infrastructure startup | EU remote

Role: Founding Engineer

Salary: 90-150k (+ equity)

Remote first: Must be available within +/- 3 hours of East Africa Time (EAT / UTC+3).

Tech stack include: TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ

Team: x2 Full Stack & x1 Frontend engineer

Building the infrastructure layer for internet connectivity across Africa.

We’re working with a well funded startup on a mission to create a more transparent marketplace for bandwidth and internet infrastructure — bringing pricing visibility to a space that has historically operated as a “black box”. The vision is ambitious: building a vertically integrated telecom platform that aggregates multiple providers into a single, scalable ecosystem while maintaining the speed and agility of a startup.

Recently raised a Seed round, with the next funding round planned towards end of year (Series A)

This role is best suited to engineers who thrive in ambitious startup environments, enjoy moving quickly, and want to play a meaningful role in shaping both the product and technical direction.

Must-have:

• 7+ years Full Stack engineering experience (with a backend focus)
• Experience building scalable, event-driven systems
• NodeJS/Typescript
• Evidence of high agency / ownership
• Strong AI native approach to software engineering

Nice-to-have:

• Experiences with building payments systems
