What’s the position?
As a Cloud Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud-based network infrastructure. You will work closely with our team of engineers to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud networks, enabling seamless operations across all facets of our organization.
As a Cloud Network Engineer, you will:
- Be a technical point of contact for various stakeholders
- Be technically talented – Defining architecture, executing PoCs, maintaining configuration/administration, and being passionate about the technology
- Be responsible for the quality, scope, and timeliness of all your deliverables
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based network architecture, including but not limited to VPCs, subnets, route tables, and security groups.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to safeguard against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud networking solutions with other systems and applications.
- Automate network deployment and configuration processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud networking technologies and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders on cloud networking matters.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer, preferably with a focus on cloud networking.
- Strong understanding of AWS(or cloud platforms such as Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Hands-on experience with networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VLANs, and BGP.
- Familiarity with network security concepts and tools, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption.
- Proficiency in leveraging infrastructure-as-code tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting a customer facing online service
- Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools is a plus
- Certification in cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) principles and technologies.
