Key Responsibilities

Develop and support dashboards and reports using Power BI and Cognos

Lead and support migration of reports, dashboards, and data models from Cognos to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric

Design and build scalable Power BI semantic models

Use Python for data transformation, automation, and analytics within Databricks and Microsoft Fabric environments

Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to support Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse solutions and Azure-based data pipelines

Provide production support and root cause analysis across legacy and modern BI platforms

Convert end-user reporting solutions (Excel, Access, SAS) into governed, automated Power BI solutions

Gather, document, and translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data mappings and transformation logic

Support unit testing and UAT, ensuring data quality and reporting accuracy

Provide guidance and enablement for Power BI self-service analytics

Support enterprise analytics transformation initiatives and evolving BI standards

Technical Skills Required

Power BI Cognos Analytics DAX Python Microsoft Fabric Databricks Azure data platforms SQL data warehousing ETL/ELT tools (Informatica)

Description: STG is a SEI CMMi Level 5 company with several Fortune 500 and State Government clients. STG has an opening forPower BI Developers with Cognos and Microsoft Fabric Experience.

Please note that this project assignment is with our own direct clients. We do not go through any vendors. STG only does business with direct end clients. This is expected to be a long-term position. STG will provide immigration and permanent residency sponsorship assistance to those candidates who need it.
