Must-Have Qualifications
-7+ years of experience in cloud security working on GCP
-Hands-on experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, and understanding of Kubernetes ecosystem tools like Kubevela and Kubewarden
-Experience with provisioning and using provisioning tools such as Tekton
-Experience with Terraform and experience automating infrastructure related tasks
-Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, including experience with Crossplane
-Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions like OpenTelemetry and Grafana
-Experience with cloud infrastructure and deep understanding of cloud security principles, including access control, encryption, network security, and risk assessment
Plusses
-Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployment models
Day-to-Day
An automotive employer is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (GCP) to work for on a 12 month contract, 100% fully remote in EST. You will be responsible to ensure the security of the cloud infrastructure. You will play a vital role in identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and maintaining compliance with industry standards, keeping our systems safe as we drive towards the future of electric mobility. You should have experience with various cloud service delivery models including IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS; automation; containers; virtual compute, storage, and networks; virtual infrastructure management; self-provisioning; and scaling. You will be working on container orchestration with Kubernetes and should be comfortable with tasks such as logging, monitoring, alerting solutions within the cloud infrastructure. Any provisioning and monitoring experience is a huge asset. You should have experience working with provisioning tools such as Tekton. You should have experience with Terraform and automating infrastructure related tasks within GCP.
