Senior Technical Team Leader in GREECE

Are you a highly motivated and results-focused individual with leadership experience? We are currently seeking a dynamic Senior Technical Team Leader to join our team. You have the option to work from one of our offices in Athens, Thessaloniki, or Crete, or work fully remotely.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and manage a team of technical professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to foster their growth and development;
  • Hands-on software development, at minimum 50% of your time;
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their technical requirements, objectives, and challenges, and effectively communicate these needs to the team;
  • Develop and implement project release plans, ensuring that deliverables are completed on time and the project resources are efficiently utilized;
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions, ensuring they align with client requirements and industry best practices;
  • Lead the Sprint planning and conduct regular team meetings to track progress, address any issues, and provide updates on project status;
  • Serve as a technical expert, providing guidance and troubleshooting assistance to resolve complex technical issues;
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies, and industry trends, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.


Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or relevant field;
  • 6+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, preferably in a client-facing environment;
  • Experience with working in an Agile environment;
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of Java and Object-Oriented design principles;
  • Knowledge of Spring and/or Spring Boot frameworks;
  • Experience with Java build automation tools (Maven and/or Gradle) and version control systems (Git);
  • Knowledge of Relational Database development;
  • Business process and rule management (jBPM and Drools);
  • XML, XSD, and XSLT;
  • Containerisation platforms (Docker and/or Podman);
  • Container management and orchestration tool (Kubernetes);
  • Object Storage (AWS S3 and/or MinIO);
  • Message brokers (Kafka);
  • Developing RESTful APIs;
  • Front-end development with Angular;
  • Software Testing methods (Unit and/or Integration Testing);
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery principles.
