We are working with an innovative AI-focused technology company looking for a Technical Engineering Director to lead complex customer-facing ML and LLM projects while building scalable, product-ready solutions.

The role

This position blends technical leadership, delivery ownership, and people management. You will oversee end-to-end execution of advanced machine learning projects, act as a technical authority for clients, and help transform applied research into long-term company products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex ML and LLM projects from scoping through deployment
• Translate customer needs into scalable technical solutions and new IP
• Build, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering teams

• Allocate talent across multiple projects to meet business priorities
• Act as a senior technical advisor to customers and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with other directors, Product, and Platform teams
• Represent the department in strategic and technical discussions with clients

Essential requirements

• Strong experience with LLMs and applied Machine Learning. No exceptions
• Master’s degree minimum in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Physics, or related field
• Proven experience delivering applied ML or NLP solutions in industry
• Hands-on leadership experience managing teams and multi-project pipelines
• Strong Python and ML framework experience
