Data Analyst - Backend Development Focus (On-site Dubai)

Job Summary:

The Data Analyst will be responsible for turning raw data into meaningful insights that support strategic decisions and improve business performance. This role requires expertise in data exploration, statistical analysis, and visualization, as well as the ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Working closely with product, engineering, and business teams, the Data Analyst will ensure that data-driven insights inform product development, user experience, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about using data to drive measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable and efficient backend solutions to support Big Data and AI-driven applications.
• Develop and maintain server-side logic primarily using Java (Spring Boot) and Golang.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, data engineers, and AI/ML teams to integrate user-facing elements and data pipelines with backend services.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and gRPC services to enable high-performance data exchange.
• Optimize applications for concurrency, performance, and high availability.
• Write efficient, reusable, and testable code with proper documentation.
• Manage and optimize relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
• Ensure backend systems are secure, fault-tolerant, and cloud-ready.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role (junior to mid-level; more for senior profiles).
• Proficiency in SQL and database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, or similar).
• Strong skills in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with Excel and programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
• Knowledge of statistical methods, data modeling, and business analytics.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and storytelling skills.
