Job Description


HR Generalist – Vernon, BC

Full-Time • Hybrid • $60,000–$70,000 + Relocation Support


We are partnered with a respected client who is a leader in the heavy equipment and industrial solutions sector, known for their strong commitment to operational excellence, safety, and employee development. They are seeking an adaptable and dedicated HR Generalist to support their growing team in Vernon, British Columbia.


This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys being hands-on, and is passionate about supporting people, culture, and organizational growth. The role is full-time with a hybrid work arrangement (on-site 2–3 days per week). A modest relocation subsidy is available for qualified candidates outside the city or province.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training coordination, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, employment legislation, and best practices.
  • Assist with employee relations, investigations, documentation, and resolution support.
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and generate reports as required.
  • Support health and safety initiatives, return-to-work processes, and compliance documentation.
  • Administer benefits, vacation tracking, and other HR programs.
  • Participate in HR process improvements, culture initiatives, and engagement activities.
  • Ensure HR practices remain compliant with the BC Employment Standards Act and other applicable legislation.


Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, heavy equipment, industrial, or similar environments.
  • Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration.
  • Strong knowledge of BC Employment Standards Act (ESA) and HR best practices.
  • Ability to build trust, maintain confidentiality, and support both management and staff.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
  • CPHR designation (or working towards it) considered an asset.


Compensation & Work Arrangement

  • Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 annually, based on experience.
  • Hybrid model: On-site presence required 2–3 days per week.
  • Relocation Support: A small relocation subsidy is available for candidates located outside BC or Vernon.
