Backend & DevOps Engineer

Role: Backend / DevOps Engineer (Node.js + Supabase + Netlify)

As a Backend / DevOps Engineer at WiftHub, you’ll own everything that keeps our platform fast, reliable, and scalable.

From backend logic and database optimization to CI/CD and deployment pipelines — you’ll be the one making sure thousands of global users experience a smooth platform every day.

You’ll work directly with the founder and core engineers, building the backbone of a product redefining how manufacturers export worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize backend services and APIs using Node.js + Supabase Edge Functions.
• Design and maintain Supabase (PostgreSQL) schemas, queries, and migrations.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions + Netlify + Supabase CLI).
• Handle serverless deployments, monitoring, and environment configuration.
• Ensure high performance and reliability across all environments.
• Implement secure authentication (PKCE/OAuth) and data access control.
• Troubleshoot production issues, database bottlenecks, and scaling challenges.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers and product lead to design clean API contracts.
• Build internal tools for analytics, automation, and performance tracking.

• Infra: Netlify, GitHub Actions, Supabase CLI, DNS (GoDaddy)
• Monitoring / Tools: Postman, Notion, Slack

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of experience in backend or DevOps engineering.
• Proficiency in Node.js, SQL, and Supabase (or Firebase/PostgreSQL equivalents).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Netlify build hooks.
• Understanding of authentication systems and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with performance optimization, caching, and database scaling.
• Bonus: experience with containerless or serverless environments.
• You love building tools that make products faster, more stable, and easier to deploy.
