Senior Data Engineer | VC-Backed Health & Wellness Brand | Fully Remote

The Client:

Our client is a fast-growing, mission-driven CPG wellness brand disrupting the supplement space through cutting-edge nutrition science. With rapid growth across both DTC and retail channels, the business is scaling quickly and investing heavily in its data and technology infrastructure. The Role:

As the Senior Data Engineer, you’ll be a mission-critical builder responsible for designing and managing the data infrastructure that powers the business. You’ll own data pipelines and integrations across key platforms, ensuring data is clean, reliable, and accessible to enable data-driven decision-making. This role is highly cross-functional, collaborating with both technical and business teams to drive scalable, compliant, and efficient data systems that support continued growth.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and integrations across core business systems
• Monitor pipeline performance, set up alerting systems, and define SLAs for data availability and freshness
• Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and architectures for performance and cost-efficiency
• Implement CI/CD practices and version control for data infrastructure
• Collaborate with the Director of BI to align data structures with machine learning and analytics initiatives
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and maintain documentation for data flows and system architecture
• Design scalable data solutions to support seasonal e-commerce spikes and product launches
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues, ensuring business continuity and accuracy

What We Need to See (Essential):

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
• Strong understanding of DTC e-commerce data (Shopify, Google Analytics, etc.)
• Familiarity with subscription management data (e.g., StayAI)
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database design
• Hands-on experience with data pipeline and orchestration tools (dbt, Airbyte, Airflow, etc.)
• Expertise with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift)
• Proven experience in data modeling, governance, and security best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience using BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD practices

What We’d Like to See (Bonus):

• Experience with server-to-server tracking (e.g., Blotout or similar 1P data capture solutions)
• Familiarity with subscription management data (e.g., StayAI)
• Knowledge of real-time streaming data solutions

Package: Up to $300,000 + bonus
