MTICBIAI, which stands for My Trauma Is Chronic, But I Am Iconic!!, is an initiative dedicated to supporting individuals who face a broad range of adversities and trauma. These include mental health challenges, neurodivergence, and the experiences of looked-after children and care leavers. The project offers a safe, inclusive space where individuals can access tailored resources, share their stories and find support that speaks to their unique needs. At the heart of MTICBIAI is a commitment to resilience, empowerment and fostering a sense of belonging. The initiative acknowledges that trauma is not one-size-fits-all. It manifests in many forms, including the emotional toll of mental health struggles, neurodivergent experiences and growing up in care. MTICBIAI seeks to address these issues by providing platforms where people can engage with others who understand their experiences. The Iconic Chronicles digital magazine is a cornerstone of this, featuring articles, personal essays, interviews, opinion pieces and visual stories designed to inspire, inform and empower. Additionally, MTICBIAI’s podcast offers a space for individuals to share their lived experiences, professional insights and stories of overcoming adversity. This platform helps connect people with similar challenges and provides a source of compassion and hope. By prioritising intersectionality, MTICBIAI ensures that all individuals, regardless of background, are heard and supported. MTICBIAI is more than just a resource. It is a community that fosters solidarity and shared understanding. The initiative believes that trauma does not define a person’s worth. Rather, it seeks to highlight the resilience that arises from overcoming adversity, encouraging individuals to embrace their strength. MTICBIAI empowers people to see themselves not just as survivors, but as iconic figures capable of thriving, despite the difficulties they face.
