**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a talented and creative Volunteer Illustrator to join our team, focusing on developing vibrant and relatable illustrations for children’s educational narratives. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their ability to connect with young audiences through visual storytelling.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Create original illustrations that align with the themes and messages of our educational narratives.
- Collaborate with writers and educators to develop visual concepts that enhance the narrative.
- Ensure that illustrations are age-appropriate, engaging, and culturally sensitive.
- Adapt and refine illustrations based on feedback from the creative team.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Stay updated on current trends in children’s literature and illustration.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in illustrating for children’s books or educational materials.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of styles and techniques suitable for children's illustrations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
- Familiarity with digital illustration tools and software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Passion for storytelling and understanding of child development and educational needs.
**Preferred Skills:**
- Experience in creating educational narratives or similar content.
- Knowledge of visual storytelling techniques and how to convey complex ideas simply and engagingly.
- Understanding of diverse cultures and the ability to represent them respectfully in illustrations.
