Junior Vulnerability Analyst (REMOTE)

As a Junior Vulnerability Analyst, you will work with a well-developed team of professionals to help secure critical database technologies and ensure ongoing compliance across diverse environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Performing vulnerability scans and assessments on databases to identify security misconfigurations, compliance gaps, and known vulnerabilities.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and execute scans while reviewing targets and policies for thorough coverage.
• Monitoring scan progress, troubleshooting technical issues, and verifying the accuracy of results and reports.
• Developing and refining testing methodologies and reporting processes to improve team workflow.
• Creating and distributing clear, actionable post-scan findings and metrics for management and technical teams.
• Supporting and maintaining backend systems and database infrastructure across Windows, Unix, and Linux platforms.
• Ensuring database environments—including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and cloud-hosted services—meet security and compliance requirements.
• Managing scanning tools and system software, staying updated with emerging technologies and compliance standards.
  
  

What Makes You Great

• Familiarity with scanning and management tools including Nessus, NMAP, Tenable Security Center, and VMWare.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Unix, Linux, and cloud service platforms.

• Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

What You Know

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or similar—or equivalent professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning, security testing, and related methodologies.
  
  

What You Have to Have

• Federal information systems and cyber experience (preferred).
• Experience supporting security and compliance in enterprise environments.
• Must be a US Citizen, with the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
• Some travel may be required
