Telespazio Belgium is currently looking for a Ground Segment Engineer to work in Transinne, Belgium. The Ground Segment Engineer will take on international challenges in a dynamic and ever-evolving environment. This role requires extensive mobility, outstanding adaptability, and a strong commitment to the company’s values.

Applicants must be eligible to obtain Security clearance from EU country.

What is expected from you:

The Ground Segment Engineer will be allocated to a project /or different project in the space sector in an international and multi-cultural environment. The candidate will perform technical activities in electronics, informatics, applying procedure of testing and configuration of equipment, but not limited to. The candidate will be part of a general process where design, ability to work around the world, and support ground installations failure’s troubleshooting are one of the main activities.

  • System Engineering tasks (e.g. Assembly, integration and configuration of Galileo equipment, define and write(apply) procedures, use of RF/electronic test bench, …)
  • Deployment of new infrastructures around the world following dedicated procedures or the “known how” of other colleagues.
  • Able to adapt quickly in an urgency.
  • Supporting any Classified (CLA) transport from a location to a GALILEO remote site.
  • The tasks required are more focus on a technical ability to work but also managerial (i.e. creation of reports, understanding of management knowledges – MPP/PMAC/invoices)
  • To follow strictly a schedule define with the Program Manager of the project about ongoing activities (dedicated tools can be used)
  • If a site is dedicated to the employee, the candidate has to ensure that all stakeholders (Project Manager, subcontractors, client and third parties) receive the correct information on due time
  • The candidate has to represent the company’s values with loyalty and dedication in every mission.

What you offer:

  • Master's Degree in electronics/electro/automation -mechanics or Technical field sector
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English; French native speaking
  • Basics electrical knowledge is mandatory – dedicated training will be granted internally.
  • Able to manage and organise an installation of a ground station around the world.
  • Ability to interface with external partners (customers, space agency, etc).
  • Experience and availability for mission around the world – public relation ability is mandatory
  • Very good reporting skill is required.
  • Very good autonomy and decision making in any kind of situation.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to integrate into existing teams.
  • Strong adaptability, even in unusual (but non-dangerous) environments.
  • High flexibility and availability for frequent international travel, including weekends when required, to complex or less comfortable areas, while remaining in safe locations and in full compliance with Belgian laws — no dangerous sites are considered.
  • Galileo knowledge is considered as an asset.
  • Fast learner with openness to diverse professional practices.
  • Willingness to invest long-term in the company’s projects and vision.
  • Initiative-driven, reliable, and honorable in fulfilling responsibilities.
