DevOps Engineer, Full Time, Permanent role, Remote (continental USA).
Join a small, high-impact engineering team building and scaling a modern cloud-native platform. The systems are fully AWS-based, the infrastructure is codified in Terraform, and we deploy via GitHub Actions from a monorepo written in Go. We believe in automation, security, performance, and clear ownership.
Responsibilities include;
- Designing, maintaining, and scaling infrastructure using Terraform and Terraform Cloud (workspace isolation, modular design).
- Building and managing services in AWS, including:
- ECS Fargate, Lambda, EC2
- API Gateway, CloudFront, Route 53
- SQS, SNS, and S3
- Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions to automate test, build, and deployment.
- Support the Golang monorepo, ensuring scalable build and deployment patterns for commands and Lambdas.
- Implementing and maintaining automated Protocol Buffer build pipelines.
- Driving observability and operational excellence.
- Acting as a key stakeholder in architecture decisions, deployment patterns, and developer tooling.
Experienced required includes.
- 3+ years in DevOps/SRE/platform engineering.
- Proven ability to independently drive infrastructure projects end-to-end.
- Deep expertise with AWS cloud services and secure, scalable system design.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Terraform Cloud in multi-workspace environments.
- Fluency in CI/CD practices, especially GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with Go-based monorepos and modern build tooling.
- Experience managing Protocol Buffers at scale (e.g., buf, CI pipelines).
- Scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or Go).
- Clear communicator, collaborator, and documentation advocate.
