About The Role
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our fully remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting and leading the modernization efforts of the CITI Program’s Learning Management System (LMS) platform. Your primary focus will be on release engineering, cloud deployment, environment automation, and performance optimization for a hybrid environment comprising legacy and modern applications. You will work closely with development teams to streamline application build, deployment, monitoring, and scaling processes, ensuring high availability and reliability of our educational platform.
This position requires hands-on engineering expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to implement best practices in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), infrastructure automation, and cloud infrastructure management. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency, security, and scalability of our LMS platform, supporting millions of learners worldwide and enhancing their educational experience.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering roles.
- Azure certification such as Azure Developer Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert is preferred.
- Hands-on experience supporting .NET applications, React front-end applications, or similar modern web stacks.
- Proficiency with Azure or comparable cloud platforms.
- Experience with Windows Server, IIS administration, security certificates, and WAF configuration.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with development and database teams.
- Experience working in environments with both legacy and modern architectures is advantageous.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker), Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.

- Own and continuously improve release processes across Development, Staging, and Production environments.
- Support the delivery of modern applications, including React front-end and .NET back-end systems.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, and deployment workflows.
- Standardize deployment procedures, including versioning, validation, and rollback strategies.
- Implement CDN-based delivery and caching strategies to enhance application performance.

- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code practices utilizing Terraform, ARM, or Bicep templates.
- Collaborate with development and database teams to improve SQL Server performance and reliability.
- Participate in troubleshooting production issues and develop long-term solutions.
- Utilize Git for source control and version management at scale.
- Set up and optimize monitoring and feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement.
