Reports to: Senior Project Manager, Digital Infrastructure

Work Model: Hybrid; Some travel throughout the GTA is required, dependent on project assignment.

Grade: H0:07

Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Salary: $76,877 to $96,096 annually (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)

Status: Permanent Full, Time

Position Summary

The Digital Project Management Office (PMO) team plans and implements key strategic Digital programs and projects to deliver outcomes benefiting UHN and the health system. We apply best practices for managing projects, change, and risk to ensure high quality deliverables, effective coordination of resources, and transparent progress reporting. Members of the PMO work in close partnership with a broad range of stakeholders, bringing the right teams together to streamline the demand, end-to-end delivery, and operational services in order to mobilize change and achieve value.

An exciting opportunity is available to showcase your talents as a Senior Project Analyst supporting the Digital Infrastructure portfolio. This position will deliver solutions that are data-driven, bring value to our stakeholders, and achieve UHN’s business objectives. We are seeking a results-driven, innovative individual who can take initiative to help implement various types of digital projects that support clinicians, researchers, and corporate areas.

This position will lead a variety of initiatives with simple to moderately complex scope, and with primary focus on executing an enterprise-wide Telephony and Network Refresh project. The successful candidate must possess strong project management skills (e.g. schedule development, milestone tracking, status reporting, risk management, budget management, etc.); and, can expect to work closely with a broad range of stakeholders. Effective communication and change management skills are essential.

The successful proponent will be responsible for leading a variety of technical, process change, and IT construction related projects. Some examples may include, but are not limited to the following: network switch replacements, wireless upgrades, telephony migrations, core network migrations, oversight of digital IT asset relocation projects, etc.

Duties

  • Work closely with the Senior Project Manager, and other project (team) leads to formulate project parameters so as to establish scope, key deliverables, budgets, accountabilities, schedules, timelines, resources, monitoring, and post project audit/evaluation
  • Analyze business needs, problems and opportunities
  • Evaluate and validate solution value and benefits to the organization, supporting business case development and return on investment analysis
  • Facilitate process and design workshops with multidisciplinary groups to identify, validate, and document business requirements
  • Conduct workflow review and process redesign, and support continuous improvement processes
  • Coordinate system design, build and testing
  • Design data collection processes, collect and analyze data, lead data reporting and data visualization activities
  • Apply rigorous project management techniques to assist in the management of project plans, schedules, status reports, and budgets
  • Develop and build detailed playbooks to support migration and/or downtime planning
  • Apply sound change management techniques for effective stakeholder engagement and communications, training, and implementation support
  • Develop adequate level of knowledge of the subject matter and digital systems being implemented to effectively move projects forward
  • Lead simple to moderately complex projects of varying scope, including planning, and monitoring project progress through tracking project milestones, risks and issues to deliver project within the planned budget, schedule, and with a high level of quality
  • Regularly contribute towards team and project process improvements


Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in Health Informatics or Administration, Technology, Science, Business, or related field required
  • Minimum 3 years of Project Management, Business Process/Analysis, and Data Analysis experience or equivalent required
  • Sound knowledge of project management standards (project planning, implementation, evaluation, risk assessment, benefits realization) required
  • Experience leading project workstreams or small projects independently, and either supervising or influencing project team members required
  • Experience developing/coordinating the development of business requirements
  • Experience in leading and conducting workflow mapping and analysis
  • Experience in delivering management-level presentations, training and/or end user support is required
  • Experience coordinating/leading application testing preferred
  • Experience in planning and executing network migrations and/or downtimes
  • Experience in applying change management methodologies and tools an asset
  • Experience with hardware and/or software vendor relations an asset
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Change Management certification an asset
  • Familiarity with healthcare information systems, interfaces, HL7, ITIL, data centre, network infrastructure, and/or enterprise architecture an asset
  • Experience with Epic system an asset, including use, build and/or vendor certified
