About the Role:

As Trading Systems Engineer at Da Vinci, you’ll work closely with a small team of highly skilled traders and engineers. You’ll be responsible for managing our trading systems, making sure they run smoothly in day-to-day operations, with future growth in mind.

As our trading systems are highly customised, balancing stability with ongoing change is one of the key challenges in this job. Our engineers often need to learn on the go, so we are looking for people who enjoy exploring unfamiliar territory.

Da Vinci offers an exciting and dynamic work environment, where employees are given the freedom to come up with great ideas and the space to push these to completion. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of a successful and fast-growing company.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee system performance, stability and uptime
  • Automate the environment and testing new technology fads
  • Architect, implement, maintain and monitor our rapidly growing intercontinental production environment
  • Manage not only “what” is running in production, but also “how” these systems are behaving
  • Address potential failures and bottlenecks to proactively prevent obstacles

Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of experience managing mission-critical infrastructure and software support (in a trading environment it’s a plus)
  • Intimate knowledge of networking, hardware and OSs (Linux, Windows)
  • Familiar with tooling and best practices regarding change, life cycle and incident management, as well as health and performance monitoring of production systems
  • Proficient with scripting (e.g., bash, python)
  • Quick at analysing issues and uncovering their root causes
  • Eager to learn and understand all aspects of the trading environment
  • Ability to spot inefficiencies and proactive in optimising systems
  • Strong communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience

Benefits:

  • An opportunity to work in a high-tech, driven environment
  • A base salary of EUR 70K to 80K, with possibility to grow
  • Excellent variable pay and growth opportunities
  • A relocation package when moving from abroad, including a relocation budget, flight coverage, house-finding service and expat support
  • Fresh breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared by our in-house chef
  • Social events and after-work drinks
  • Reimbursement of travel costs to and from the office
  • Sponsored gym membership
  • In-house game room (pool table, board games and console games)
