ποΈ About the Engagement
Azooa is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer or Architect to support an upcoming federal government project under RFQ IDLHβ04687 with the Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR).
This role is part of a broader digital transformation effort led by the departmentβs CIO Group. Youβll be contributing to the delivery of high-impact, cloud-native systems that align with Whole-of-Government (WoG) standards and the Digital Service Standard (DSS).
The work is strategic and hands-on: combining architectural design, engineering execution, stakeholder collaboration, and platform governance across Microsoft Azure and M365.

As a Cloud Architect / Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
β Essential Criteria
To be considered, candidates must demonstrate:
1. Proven Cloud Expertise
πΉ At least 5 years' experience implementing and managing cloud solutions
πΉ Hands-on knowledge of:
2. Strong Engineering & Architecture Capability
πΉ Ability to design enterprise and application-level architectures aligned to WoG standards
πΉ Skilled in impact analysis, requirements translation, and engineering guidance
πΉ Experience building scalable, supportable, and secure cloud platforms
3. Agile Team Experience
πΉ Worked in Agile multidisciplinary teams with continuous delivery goals
πΉ Ability to pivot with evolving project scope and delivery timelines
πΉ Familiarity with government digital delivery practices is a strong advantage
4. Cultural Fit & Communication
πΉ Able to work effectively within remote, geographically distributed teams
πΉ Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to bridge technical and business understanding
πΉ Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor, influence, and support peers
