Project Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Analytics Engineer to lead the data migration of our Transportation Management System (TMS) to Google BigQuery and design robust, scalable data models and dashboards in Looker.

This role is pivotal in our journey to modernize analytics capabilities and deliver high-quality, business-ready insights across logistics and operations.

👉 Strong Looker (LookML) expertise is essential - you’ll be the go-to expert responsible for shaping the Looker data model, optimizing performance, and ensuring consistent, trusted reporting across the business.

Tech Requirements (Must Have)

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Analytics Engineering or a similar data-focused role
• Proven, hands-on experience with Looker and LookML (in production environments) - core skill for the role
• Deep technical knowledge of Google BigQuery
• Strong SQL and solid understanding of data modeling best practices (e.g., star/snowflake schemas)
• Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation tools
• Understanding of data governance, lineage, and documentation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or logistics / supply chain data

Soft Skills

• Proactive and detail-oriented, with strong analytical thinking
• Comfortable collaborating with both technical and business teams
• Ownership mindset and ability to translate business needs into data solutions
