One IT is expanding, and our senior support team is growing! We are seeking a Level 3 Senior ICT Engineer to join our teams in both Darwin and Alice Springs. We deliver secure, reliable, and forward-thinking ICT solutions across the Territory. Role Summary
As a Level 3 Senior Engineer, you will provide expert-level support and lead the delivery of technical projects across infrastructure, networking, and data systems. You will manage complex incidents, implement forward-thinking solutions, and collaborate with customers and colleagues to improve systems, security, and processes. Your wide-ranging technical experience will guide decision-making and ensure high-quality outcomes across multiple technologies and platforms.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and resolve complex technical support requests across infrastructure, networking, cloud, security, and end-user systems.
- Deliver and manage technical projects, including infrastructure upgrades, network deployments, data migrations, and system integrations.
- Configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise systems using tools such as Datto RMM, Huntress, Proofpoint, Fortigate, Ubiquiti, Cisco, 3CX, Yealink, and HP.
- Act as the senior escalation point, guiding Level 1 and Level 2 engineers and maintaining clear communication with customers.
- Plan, test, and implement new technologies and customer solutions with thorough documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Identify recurring issues, recommend improvements, and implement proactive solutions to enhance system stability, performance, and security.
- Mentor junior engineers, promote technical excellence, and foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Uphold security awareness, compliance, and industry standards across all projects and support activities.
- Ensure professionalism, clear communication, and exceptional customer experience in all interactions.
Required Attributes / Experience
- Proven experience as a senior IT support or systems engineer, preferably within an MSP or large enterprise environment.
- Wide-ranging technical expertise across M365, Datto RMM, Proofpoint, Huntress, 3CX, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, Cisco, Yealink, HP, and other infrastructure and networking technologies.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical projects including infrastructure, networking, and data-related implementations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues and improving systems.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Commitment to mentoring, sharing knowledge, and supporting team growth.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects while maintaining high standards of delivery.
- Qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is highly desirable.
